Jewelry making has been a transformative light during a dark time in my life, and continues to help me grow every day. In 2018, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After having a double mastectomy, and despite the good news of being cancer-free and given permission to press play on my life, the mark of breast cancer was still very much with me. Even though I may have escaped its grip, my body was forever altered. My journey with a bilateral mastectomy, the reconstruction process, and my loss of confidence left me with both emotional and physical scars. I felt like a woman in limbo between illness and health.

Jewelry making has allowed me to work through the time of recovery and create pieces that help me navigate life in a very special way. I became passionate about my work, and fell in love with the techniques and processes of this important craft. I enjoy working with every type of bead and material to create modern elegance in every piece I make. It has encouraged, uplifted, and helped me rebuild my confidence. Whether it’s a piece from my collection or an idea, I love challenging myself.

In life, we all have stories. We can hide them or choose to share them with others. This is one of the reasons I do this—to connect with people, share my story, and hope that my pieces can help someone understand that, no matter what happens, when you open yourself up to being led despite grief and the challenges of life, you can overcome them. Every woman is beautiful, and my pieces are made to enhance the natural beauty that every woman has. The natural beauty of nature plays a very important role in my creations; every piece displays a unique beauty of Jehovah’s creation.
